Our Commitment to Safety

At Mu Delta Alpha Sorority, Inc., the safety and well-being of our members is our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining a secure, respectful, and supportive environment for all sisters. Our organization adheres to strict policies and procedures to ensure every member feels protected, valued, and empowered throughout her sorority experience.

Our commitment includes:

• Zero-Tolerance Policy on Hazing: Mu Delta Alpha has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of hazing. All members are required to complete risk management training and sign a no-hazing agreement.

• National Insurance Coverage: All active, dues-paying members are covered by our liability insurance when participating in approved Mu Delta Alpha events and activities.

• Risk Management Protocols: Chapter officers are trained in risk assessment and response. Incident reporting processes are clearly outlined and enforced to ensure immediate support and resolution.

• Emergency Contact Preparedness: Chapters are required to maintain up-to-date emergency contact information for all members and to have safety plans in place for all major events.

• Mental Health & Wellness: We promote mental health awareness and offer access to support resources, ensuring members are never alone in times of need.

• Respectful Culture: All members and affiliates are expected to uphold the values of kindness, professionalism, and emotional intelligence in every interaction. Disrespect, bullying, or any form of misconduct is not tolerated.

• Background Checks & Vetting: National leadership, staff, and chapter officers undergo vetting to maintain a trustworthy and accountable structure within the organization.

By putting our members’ safety first, we create a foundation where young women can thrive in leadership, build lasting sisterhood, and grow with peace of mind. Our policies are not just rules—they reflect our values, our mission, and our duty to protect the sacred bond of sisterhood.
